Joel Loxton is an award-winning Director, Writer, Editor, and Teacher best known for his world-class short film, THE KANGAROO GUY, a political satire about a young MP who discovers how to use the power of “truth” in the media. Joel is a Graduate of both AFTRS and the VCA. After graduating with a Master’s in film and television, Joel moved to Melbourne and worked as a Senior Lecturer at a local film school while he built up his freelance portfolio. After 2020, Joel moved up to the Northern Rivers of New South Wales, where he is pursuing his goals of working as a Director. Joel is currently developing a feature-length adaptation of his successful short film.
