Concept: A dark and atmospheric theatrical trailer designed to capture the unique, moody tone of the Malthouse Theatre’s stage production of [Name of Play].
Project Brief: Joel was the creative force behind this trailer, serving as director, cinematographer, and editor. The goal was to translate the play’s intense, intimate atmosphere into a compelling cinematic piece for promotion, moving beyond a simple recording of the performance to create a standalone work with its own distinct vibe.

This trailer was created over a decade ago, and unfortunately, the only surviving copy is a highly compressed version from the original web upload. While this digital copy doesn’t fully represent the technical quality of the original shoot, I remain proud of the atmospheric and moody piece we created for such a prestigious client. It was an early and formative project in developing my directorial voice for high-impact, client-focused work
